8 Golden Rules For Betting On Horses
People assume that betting on horses is based on luck, and that the only method to win money while doing it is to get inside information. By inside information, people generally refer to match fixes or some other knowledge that one or more of the horses is sick. This might have been true once, but in todays modern world where the gambling is institutionalized and checked daily, this sort of thing rarely (if ever) occurs.
So What Then? Should you gamble according to unexplainable hunches and simply hope for the best?
There is a better option. Base your bets on information that you collect about the different horses and then make a calculated guess. I have listed here the 8 Golden Rules you should look out for when judging how good a particular horse will fair in the race you are going to bet on.
1. Check out the weather, and then check how the horses in the race fared accordingly. Certain horses have a tendency to outlast others in the rain, while others charge unstoppable to the finish line on cloudy days. Why? I don't know, but what's important is that its true, and it has worked for me.
2. Do not think that older horses run slower than three-year old ones as the season comes to a close. This is just not true. What you have to check is how many races each horse did run. Sometimes horses compete in too many races and this slows them down, but this has nothing to do with age.
3. Surprisingly, though you might think that there is a direct ratio between the weight of the jockey and how fast the horse can run, but this is not true. Since most of the jockeys weigh approximately the same, its actually the relatively heavier ones who manage to win.
4. Similarly, heavier horses can run faster than lighter ones, but only up to a point. A colt weighs about a hundred pounds more than fillies and thus they are more likely to win long distance races.
5. Just because a horse has new blinkers does not mean that the horse will run faster. I know this sounds crazy, but a friend I met at the horse-track offered me this piece of advice, and I had to refute it to spare the heartache from any who do fall for it.
6. Check the pedigree of the horses. Remember to keep whatever information you find. You can even buy one of the books on certain horses at your local bookstores. After you have gathered all the relevant information keep in mind that a colt doesn't need as much of a pedigree as a filly to run very fast.
7. Don't rely too much on pedigree at the lower class races. This is the place where those horses with a weak pedigree tend to shine.
8. Female jockies are starting to make a name for themselves, so don't underestimate them when they race. Lately, they have been winning admirably.
Use the above 8 Golden Rules of Betting on Horses the next time you go to the track or enter an online sportsbook to place your bet so that your wager will have a better chance of winning.

Sic Bo Basic Rules
Sic-Bo, is a simple to understand but the bets are difficult to remember. You play Sic-Bo with 3 die which are rolled by the player. The game is very similar to roulette in the manner of betting because you have to make a prediction on the outcome of the dice roll. Before you roll you make a prediction on the outcome of the die. These predictions can be a combination of different numbers on the die or a variety of other outcomes which all offer different levels of difficulty to win.
There are seven different kinds of bets that can be made in Sic-Bo which will be the next topic of the guide.
1. Single bet - (located on the bottom left of the board) - Predict that any of the die will land on any number from 1 to 6. if one dice does land on the number you predicted you win 1:1. if 2 die land on the number you predicted you win 2:1. Finally if all 3 die land on that 1 number you win 3:1.House advantage on this bet is close to 8%.
2. Two Die Bet- (located in the center on the bottom of the board.) - Predict that any 2 of the die will land on a 2 number combination that you must choose. The third dice has no effect on the game of the other 2 land on the number you choose. You win a payoff of 6:1. House advantage on this bet is close to 17%.
3. Three of A Kind - (located on the top in the center of the board) - Predict that all 3 die will land on the same number; any number of your choice. You win a payoff of 24:1. The House advantage on this bet is close to 30%.
4. Total of Three Die Bet- (located in the center of the board going vertically as a row of number from 4-17) - Predict that the total of the three die sum up to a number from 4-17(,3,and 18 is not included because they odds win a different bet with a much higher payout). You win a payoff which varies from 6:1 all the way to 60:1. If you choose a total of 10 or 11 you have the lowest payout of
6:1 with a house edge of only 12.5%. If you choose a total of 9 or 12 the payout is 6:1 with a house edge of 18%. If you choose a total of 8 or 13 the payout is 8:1 with a house edge of 12.5%. If you choose a total of 7 or 14 the payout is 12:1 with a house edge of 9.7%. If you choose a total of 6 or 15 the payout is 17:1 with a house edge of 16.5%. If you choose a total of 5 or 16 the payout is 30:1 with a house edge of 13.2%. If you choose a total of 4 or 17 the payout is 60:1 and the house edge is 15%.
5. Small or big Bet - (located on the top on each the left and right side || 2 different bets) Predict that the total of the 3 die will total a variety of numbers. This bet has a very high chance of winning because you have about a 50/50 chance of getting the die to total the amounts that you choose. The "small" bet is when you predict that the die will total any number from 4-10. the "big" bet is when you predict that the die will total 11-17. You win a payoff of 1:1. House advantage on this bet is close to 2.7%.
6. Triple - (located on the top in the center of the board ) - Predict that all 3 die will land on a single number. The chances against you getting all 3 die to land on the number you choose is 215:1. You win a payoff of 180:1. House advantage on this bet is close to 30%.
7. pair - (located on the top of the board on split in the middle by the triple bets) Predict that 2 of the die will land on a single number that you choose. You win a payoff of 8:1. House advantage on this bet is close to 33%.
There is a little cheat so you don't have to memorize all of these. That secret is the board. I know that's not really a secret but it is true that the board has all the information that you need to choose your bets. Despite that, you still need to know the risks involved in each bet. Sic-Bo is a very fun game with a lot of excitement and a high risk of winning.
Online Bingo The Safest Choice
Cheating is quite common in most online casinos, as well as land-based casinos. Many have realized that there is a lot of money to be made in the casino environment.
Bingo is a relatively cheat free game, but there are some really interesting stories of players cheating in this supposedly innocent game. The renowned author, John Scarne, writes about a few instances of players and casinos cheating at bingo. An almost unbelievable story is of an old lady in her seventies who walked away with more than $200,000 by cheating at a land-based hall!
There are dozens of cheating guides available, especially on internet, which can teach you the basic steps of cheating at almost any game you can think of. And the best part - many of them are for free.
The question then is, is gaming still safe? Most casinos have put in place strict safety measures. Players and games are closely watched. The same goes for online casinos. Most of these sites have security measures.
Although there are some dishonest players, cheating in Online Bingo is fortunately not that common, and the game is still relatively safe.
Why are online bingo games safer than land-based counterpart? Because players do not daub their own cards, cheating is relatively difficult. Some online bingo games have strict safety measures.
All you have to do is know how to find an honest and safe online bingo site. One of my favorites is http://www.bingodrome.com. Not only is it a safe and secure site, but dishonest players are scarce. The reason is strict safety measures.
When looking for a safe online bingo game, you have to look at the following:
1) Are players prohibited from having multiple accounts?
2) Are the rules concerning cash-outs strict and honest?
3) Do they keep your details safe?
You might wonder why these are the most important things to look at when looking for a safe online bingo game. The reasons are quite simple. It is important that players are allowed to have only on account; otherwise they will cheat you out of your money! Cash-outs should be strict and safe, so you can know that your money are in good hands and will be kept safe. Some online bingo sites sell player information, and therefore it is important to find a site that will guard your personal details.
Bingo For Beginners
Bingo is probably one of the easiest games on the planet; all you need are bingo cards, bingo chips, the ability to recognize numbers, fast eyes and a prize, even children can do it.
Object of the game:
The object of the game is to complete the pattern called for in a certain game with the lowest number of calls. Patterns are determined before the game starts, it can either be a full horizontal, or vertical, a diagonal, an X, a box, or what they call block out, in which you'll have to fill your whole card.
The Bingo Card
The Bingo card has the letters B, I, N, G and O across the top indicating five columns. Each column hast a set of numbers ranging from 1 to 75.
The B column has numbers from 1-15, the I column has numbers, 16-30, the N column has numbers from 31 - 45, the G column has numbers from 46 to 60, and the O column has numbers from 61 - 75. Each column may only have 5 numbers from their respective range.
The card forms a grid in which the middle grid, the third row of the N column is labeled free, this cell need not be filled.
First you need a Bingo card, you may have more than one bingo card at a time, depending on your labeling ability.
The game starts when the host tells everyone the pattern to be formed.
Listen for the fist ball, the host will call out a letter, either B, I, N, G or O, for the column and then a number, e.g. O-70.
Look for this number in your card and label it immediately.
The host continues to call out letters and numbers until someone finishes than pattern required.
The person with a finished pattern should immediately yell bingo! To inform everyone that she has finished the pattern and has won the game.
The host will then verify all the numbers and their position in your card, either by taking your card, or by you shouting out the numbers that made you form the patter.
Another bingo game may resume afterwards, either with the same or different pattern, or same or different prize.
The prize should be immediately given after a Bingo.
Never yell BINGO if you haven't formed a pattern yet, this halts the games and can be a bit annoying for other players.
Favorite Casino Games
We all know that we like to go online to play our favorite casino games, but the question is what games are we drawn to and why? There are many options for us to choose from anytime we open up an Internet connection but it seems like most of us all like to play the same general sets of games, there must be a reason for this.
For starters lets look at the most popular online casino games. There's Poker, Blackjack, Craps, and Roulette that seem to be among the most popular. These are of course the very definition of classic casino games so there must be a logical reason why they've enjoyed so much exposure over the hundreds of years that they've been in existence.
What I've been able to figure, thus far, is that people are looking for the most bang for their buck, duh. They are looking for relatively simple, simple as in easy to learn, and they are looking for a good return on their money. Of course the excitement factor is also a huge consideration when looking for a good game to pass the time. There are more complicated, non-traditional casino games that are available for the player wanting to try something different, or who just doesn't like the more traditional fare. But any player can tell logging into any run of the mill online casino that most of their resources are allocated to the ones that most people are drawn to.
Poker, for example, has been around for a very long time and its appeal is easy to understand. Once a player understands the basic rules they can cash in on a world with almost literally a never ending amount of possibilities. This simplicity, coupled with its potentially large payouts, contributes to its mass appeal. This same reasoning, at least in my mind, holds true for all of the classic games including Blackjack and Roulette. Any game that is easy to understand and offers a chance for players to win large sums of money is a winning combination. Just look at the way that people flock to the old fashioned three reel slot machines. There is absolutely no skill involved in these games, so it isn't for the challenge, but there is the possibility of substantial winnings. It is for these reasons that there will always be a large fan base of these games.
I'm not trying to say in the least, actually to the contrary, that games like Poker and Blackjack are so very simple that anyone can play and win. What I am saying is that Poker and Blackjack appear deceptively simple and offer a large enough incentive for people to jump right in and try their luck.
While there are as many reasons that people play their favorite games as there are people that play them we are all attracted for one reason or another to the classics, and hopefully that always stays the same.
Bingo patterns are a crucial part of online bingo games. The whole aim of the game is to match all the randomly called numbers in a given pattern on your card. Bingo patterns range from simple horizontal or diagonal patterns to more complex patterns in assorted shapes or pictures. These patterns are generally shown in the right hand side of most games. Players need to keep an eye on their cards to see if they bingo on the pattern.
Players need to pay attention to the bingo pattern. To win bingo, only the numbers that form the pattern are needed. Some bingo patterns are a lot easier to win bingo on than others. Others may be more challenging to win, as the layout is not as easy to see from watching the bingo board. Players need to keep track of the number called, however in online bingo games the numbers are called for the players.
There are endless possible bingo patterns, just as there are endless possible number combinations! All bingo patterns include a middle block, which is treated as a bonus number. The most widely used and recognized are simple line bingo patterns and blackout or coverall bingo patterns.
Straight line bingo patterns are simpler to bingo on as they can be only in either a horizontal, vertical or diagonal direction. For example, players would need to have all the numbers in their 'B' row if the pattern was a horizontal pattern.
The blackout or coverall bingo pattern has higher stakes, as players have to get every number on their card to win. This bingo pattern is often played in high rollers or high level rooms.
Many online bingo games have featured patterns that tie in to current themes or promotions. These are fun for players, but they are more of a challenge to win! these. At Bingodrome the patterns change every week. These include multi letter patterns (that spell out words), and a variety of pictures ranging from handbags to peanut butter jars, depending on the current promotion. Bingodrome has a unique promotion theme that ties patterns in to current events or holidays. Additional bingo patterns include outside square bingo patterns, which are large square patterns in which players need to get all numbers in the 'B' and 'O' rows, as well as the top and bottom rows to win bingo. Similarly, inside square patterns are won by getting all the numbers in the 'I', 'N' and 'G' rows around the free space on the card. A roving kite bingo pattern is won by getting three numbers diagonally to the left and right sides in a 3 x 3 diamond formation.
In most games, all a player needs to do to win is get all the numbers in the bingo pattern. In Jackpot games, which are usually a separate pattern that stays the same every game, players need to win bingo within a certain number of balls. If a player manages to win in the amount of balls specified, they win the Jackpot. Jackpots are often progressive, which means the prize amount rolls over if it is not won.
Baseball Betting Diamondbacks Latest Arizona Team To Impress
Last week I praised Bobby Cox and his Atlanta Braves on their 6-3 road trip and suggested they were beginning to play like manager Cox's previous NL East teams. Then the Dodgers and Arizona came to Turner Field and suddenly the Braves are 1-6 on this current homestand.
The Braves got swept by Arizona on the weekend and the Diamondbacks are beginning to play great ball and this comes on the heels of the Phoenix Suns getting turfed from the NBA Playoffs.
Before the Diamondbacks departed on a 10-game trip, manager Bob Melvin called the excursion to Cincinnati, New York and Atlanta a measuring stick that would give his team an idea of just how good it really is.
After finishing it off with a 7-3 record, topped by a four-game sweep of the Braves at Turner Field, the results are in: Arizona is a pretty good ballclub and just might do a little bit more than hang around at the top of the National League West.
The four-game sweep over the Braves marked just the third time in Diamondbacks history that they have accomplished such a feat on the road. The 7-3 record, meanwhile, ties a club mark for the best trip of a road campaign involving at least 10 games.
The pitching staff posted a 2.35 ERA during the 10 games, allowing 24 earned runs in 92 innings, and in the past three games alone, the offense has delivered 10 home runs. Overall, the Diamondbacks outscored their opponents 56-24.
The Diamondbacks continue to get sterling performances from their starting pitchers, as Sunday's 9-3 win over the Braves marked the 13th "quality start" from the rotation in the past 15 games. Right-hander Miguel Batista was the latest to work at least six innings and allow three or fewer runs, and during this particular stretch, the starters have fashioned a 1.94 ERA.
Batista, who allowed three earned runs through 6 2/3 innings in improving to 6-2, got help from an offense that pounded out 14 hits and four home runs for the second consecutive day. The Diamondbacks swept the Braves in four games at Turner Field, the first time that's happened to Atlanta at home or on the road since the Phillies did it to them in 1995.
RHP Brandon Webb needs to pitch 2 2/3 scoreless innings when he starts Monday against the visiting Phillies to establish a Diamondbacks record for pitching consecutive scoreless innings. Webb is on 25 and counting. Andy Benes holds the club mark with 27 1/3 straight scoreless frames during the team's inaugural season in 1998.
